Jay & Katrina Locklin (staff candidates)

Jay and Katrina Locklin are excited for the opportunity to use their unique gifts at Doe River Gorge Ministries as both summer staff and with the Christmas Train.  Jay has an extensive background in construction, as well as heavy equipment operation and maintenance.  Alongside Katrina, he has also been involved in Youth Ministry over the past twenty years and  currently leads a men’s group which meets two mornings a week in North Carolina.  Anything classic cars occupies his spare time.

Katrina has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from The Boston Conservatory of Berklee and has over thirty years of teaching experience nationwide.  She recently formed Urban Grace Dance Ministry for the purpose of sharing the gospel through dance, and looks forward to being a part of performing arts with The Christmas Train, as well as serving with the summer staff.

Jay and Katrina reside in Roan Mountain Tennessee and have five children – Tristen, Samantha, Jacob, Jennifer and Halley.  Their son Jacob currently works as summer staff at DRG and hopes to join full time after completing DRG’s Exponential Gap Year Program.
