Ways to Leave a Lasting Legacy

A great way to leave a lasting legacy of support to Doe River Gorge is through your estate plans. Doe River Gorge would be happy to assist you in reviewing your estate plans to help you become a good steward of God's resources that He has entrusted to you. Doe River Gorge desires to assist you in creating a personalized estate design that would be most beneficial to you and your goals. This plan could include using giving vehicles such as current and deferred gift annuities, revocable and irrevocable life estate agreements, unitrust, annuity trusts, and both reversionary and non-reversionary lead trust.

Doe River Gorge is here to assist you! We would be happy to meet with you to discuss your stewardship goals. To request more information or to request a free copy of A Guide to Planning Your Estate, please call the Ministry Advancement Office at 423.725.4010 or e-mail your request.

The following gift methods are simple ways to make a lasting legacy:

Life Insurance: Donating a life insurance policy is a way to make a significant commitment to Doe River Gorge and is particularly appropriate for policies that are paid-up and no longer needed in your estate planning.

Home/ or Other Real Estate: Real estate gifts can provide a stable, long-term contribution to the Doe River Gorge and can compliment your overall estate plan. Real estate gift options include homes, farms, condominiums, undeveloped land, commercial property and other types of real estate. If you would like to discuss making a gift of appreciated real estate, please contact the Ministry Advancement Office at 423.725.4010.

Bequests: Through your Will, you can include charitable gifts in the form of specific property (i.e., cash, securities, works of art, etc.), a percentage of your estate or the residue of your estate. Your attorney can help you plan the most appropriate type of bequest when you make or update your Will.
