Jeff & Pam Smythe

As a student at Moody Aviation in the late 80's and early 90's, Jeff and his wife, Pam were involved as volunteers in ministering to youth in the early days of Doe River Gorge. After five years as a missionary pilot in Guatemala with Mission Aviation Fellowship, Jeff and Pam joined the staff at Doe River Gorge. He and Pam have four children..

"We have been serving Doe River Gorge since September 1999. We consider it a great privilege to serve in a place where we see God's hand at work in such a powerful way. It is fantastic to witness firsthand how so many young people are changed through God's work in this place and through the people who serve here."

God has directed Pam’s path in surprising ways over her lifetime! Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Pam attended Moody Bible Institute where she met her future American husband, Jeff. They lived in east TN while Jeff completed his education, then ministered in Guatemala while raising their four children. Happy to return to the beautiful east TN mountains, Pam has volunteered in various capacities at Doe River Gorge, always thankful for such a wonderful place where their children could grow up.
