Frequently Asked Questions

1.What does the Tuition include?

Tuition covers all meals, lodging, 24-hour personalized supervision, on-site medical staff, high adventure instruction, speakers and musicians, use of recreational facilities, craft items, equipment rental, and exposure to dedicated Christian role models. We believe that we offer an extraordinary, life-changing experience at a reasonable fee. Students will need additional spending money for snacks at the Sidetrack Cafe and gifts at our DRG Outfitters/Gift Shop.

2. Is there a family discount?

Yes! Families that have more than one student attending Adventure Quest are given discounts as follows: 1st tuition fee at regular rate, 2nd - $20 off, 3rd - $30 off, etc.

3. Is financial assistance available?

Yes! It is our desire that no student fail to attend Adventure Quest due to financial need. For this reason Doe River Gorge has established the "On Track Scholarship Fund". If you are in need of assistance, or would like to donate to the scholarship fund, please contact our office. As our partners in ministry, we encourage attending church groups to take care of their own members in need.

4. What if I have to cancel enrollment?

We understand that there are times when your plans must change due to unforeseen circumstances. If your plans do change, our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 100% of registration fees are transferable to a previously unregistered guest.
  • Cancellations prior to May 1st receive a full refund less the registration fee.
  • Cancellations after May 1st are non-refundable unless we are able to fill the spot from our waiting list.
  • No-shows are ineligible for a refund.

5. What if I have to withdraw from the program?

Refunds cannot be given for students who withdraw before the end of the session except for sickness or emergency, in which case, $50 per missed day will be refunded. Doe River Gorge reserves the right to dismiss any student without refund whose conduct is not in the best interest of other participants.

6. How are housing assignments made?

Housing assignments are made by Doe River Gorge. We make every effort to allow youth of the same age to room together.

7. Can a certain roommate be requested?

Students may request 1 roommate. All requests are due by May 1st in order to ensure placement, as assignments will be made before summer begins.  To ensure placement with your requested roommate, each participant MUST request each other for the same week, same track, and same housing.

8. Is there a need for spending money?

Spending money (doebucks) can be deposited into an account for each student at registration or arrival. Doebucks are used for the Sidetrack Cafe (snacks) and for the DRG Outfitters/Gift Shop. Account balances are refunded at the end of each session, and are rounded down to the nearest dollar.

9. What is the AQ camp video?

DRG produces a custom video unique for each week of Adventure Quest. The DVD format video features activity scenes of each individual week of AQ. A music video clip is made from the activities each day and shown during that day's bigtop tent assembly. The video clips from each day are combined into a 15-20 minute video full of exciting Adventure Quest memories available for purchase. The videos may be pre-ordered at registration or purchased in the DRG Outfitters gift shop on Friday dismissal.
