Expedition

(a six-day adventure for students entering grades 8-12)

Tighten up your bootstraps because you are about to venture into the magnificent, rugged, awe-inspiring mountains of the Cherokee National Forest.

You'll backpack through dense forests and through rhododendron thickets, trek along cool mountain streams that cascade into waterfalls that create refreshing pools for swimming and cliff jumping. At Grindstaff Cave you'll explore the dark bowels of the ancient Appalachian Mountains. Then, kayak on beautiful Watauga Lake where you'll camp on an uninhabited island.

On this journey, not only will you learn the skills you need to succeed in the wilderness, but you'll learn the skills you need to succeed in life, from decision making to communication to team building and leadership. With fireside Bible talks, group discussions, and solo times in God's Word you'll experience a fresh, rejuvenating encounter with the God who created it all.
