Daniel Trigg was a Summer Staffer from 2003-2006. During these four years he grew as a man, a leader, and as a believer in Christ Jesus.

Below, Daniel gives us a vivid description of how Christ is the ultimate pursuer of his soul. Enjoy this story of how Jesus, late one night, became all the difference for Daniel Trigg.

DANIEL'S STORY:

danielI remember having a great conversation with my accountability partner when I started asking questions that neither of us knew how to answer. So, at 11:30 that night we called Terry Maughon and told him I had some difficult issues to resolve.

For over two hours Terry spent his time speaking plainly and gently. Every syllable, word, and phrase dripped with Scripture. Yet, the more he explained, the more I questioned.

You see, in my heart, I never wanted to commit to anything unless I knew - really, really knew - without a doubt that it was absolutely true. I couldn't commit to Christ because I did not know without a doubt, either in my head or my heart, that His salvation was true.

At the end of all his explanations, Terry finally said." "Let's just get on our face before God.

It was right there, face down before God on the carpet in Terry's office, that I broke down. At that moment I finally understood. I knew without a doubt what Christ had done for me: that Jesus had died so that I would spend eternity with the Father.

Daniel's four summers at Doe River Gorge began with the intimate pursuit of Jesus Christ. It is a wonderful picture of His absolute abandon for our souls.
