SPLASH! is jam-packed with high-energy water sport action. You will ski, wakeboard, and tube around the beautiful and pristine Watauga Lake pulled by competition ski boats. Your instructors are highly qualified with many years of professional water skiing and wakeboarding experience. Whether you are getting on skis for the first time or looking to advance your skills, you are sure to have a blast during your 7 days of water sports adventure. You will also experience dynamic worship, transformational teaching, and incredible food!

Basic wakeboarding skill instruction includes:

  • Video instruction
  • Deep water take-off
  • Proper riding position & technique
  • Wake jumping

Intermediate to advanced wakeboarding skill instruction includes:

  • Double wake jumping
  • Wake jumps with board grab
  • Wake jumps to revert (switch stance)
  • Back roll, etc.

Other watersport activities include:

  • Tubing
  • Double or Slalom skiing

Professional equipment includes Correct Craft Ski Boats, Liquid Force & Scott Byerly Wakeboards, Fly High X-Pole Pylon, and Accurate Ski Ropes.

Meet your SPLASH! directors: Kent and Terri Garner

Kent and Terri Garner have over 25 years of combined professional water skiing experience. As members of the Sea World Water Ski Team they have produced, managed, and performed in several ski shows such as the Beach Blanket Ski Party, Ski Pirates, USO Show, Gold Rush Ski Show and Baywatch Ski Show. During their skiing career, Sea World had over 4 million visitors each year with the Ski Show consistently ranking as one of the top shows.

Kent:

  • 10 years as a member of the Sea World Ski Team receiving numerous awards including Most Outstanding Male Skier
  • Men's Overall winner at the Florida State Championships
  • Competed in 12 amateur and collegiate national water ski championships beginning at age 13 and finished in the top five overall 5 times

Terri:

  • 12 years competitive show skiing experience
  • Member of the Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team in Lakeland Florida.
  • 14 years at Sea World as a skier, manager, and 6 years as Show Director/Producer. Terri also received numerous awards during her years at Sea World, including Most Outstanding Female Skier

Both Kent & Terri have represented the Sea World Water Ski Team performing in shows across the U.S. and at the South American Tourism Convention in Rio de Janeiro. They have been featured in several print and television commercials including Correct Craft, Casad, and Sea World. They also met at Sea World and married during their years there.
